Hannes Spillmann has technology in his blood and a scientific way of thinking in his head. His work in research and industry has given him first-hand experience of a wide range of technologies. As a result, he always sees the inventions he is involved with in a broader context. He has extensive experience in opposition and court proceedings. As a part-time judge at Switzerland’s Federal Patent Court, he is regularly involved in leading cases and is at the forefront of jurisprudence. In his day-to-day advice, he is therefore able to contribute not only the perspective of lawyers but also that of a judge.

Sustainable height conqueror

Hannes Spillmann is usually out and about on two wheels: in his everyday life, he commutes to work on his city bike, while in his free time he collects altitude meters around Zurich on his racing or mountain bike. What he finds most exciting are challenging climbs: finding the right pace, getting into a flow, switching off completely – and then working on the next tricky Patents situation with a fresh mind.
